How to turn off Facebook email notifications

Facebook email notifications can be a big pain, so we thought it'd be helpful for you to know how to turn them off.

• Go to your Facebook settings page and click Notifications in the left column.
• Next go to your applications, and you will see an envelope with a number next to them.  Click the Edit button associated with them, and you can unclick what you do not want to receive emails for.  Make sure to Save Changes at the bottom.

If you have the Email Frequency box checked at the upper right hand corner of the page, you will not be able to edit anything other than the Other Applications emails.  Uncheck this if you prefer to manually choose what you receive emails for.
